I highly doubt he tweeted it to make people think it was real. It was just a cute way to recognize and bring attention to it. So much of this complaining is on stuff that just doesn't matter, there are WAY bigger issues to be outraged over.
There are many things done by Trump that are far more worthy of criticism and outrage than this silly faked photo.
However, it seems that the heroic dog WILL be making a White House visit soon. Now, that will be interesting to follow, as it's well-known that Trump dislikes (and perhaps fears) dogs. I am sure this particular dog is well-trained and mannerly, though - wish the same could be said of Trump!
