The growing trend this year seems to be handing out non candy-treats. Teal-colored pumpkins are supposed to be the tell. Kids will probably hate it, of course, but a little variety seems like a good thing.
That's actually for the kids who have allergies and can't eat the traditional Halloween treats. That way they can join in on the fun, and get something they can enjoy.
