Playing most videogames is better for your mind than just consuming traditional passive media.

denial is unhealthy
Neither video gaming or gambling are unhealthy in and of themselves. both are forms of entertainment.

At worst, they are both financially detrimental to the individual, but that doesnt have to be true.

I'm 57 and I wish I had time to play video games. Back in the say I was hooked on World of Warcraft but eventually had to stop because it was taking all of my time and I wasn't getting anything else done around the house. So video games are a drain on your time.

Gambling to me is completely different. I'm cheap as heck so if I go play blackjack (which is really rare) and I win a few hands and I'm up $50, I call it a day. I have no need to continue to play just hoping to hit the winning streak. So gambling is a drain on your wallet.

Both are a good form of entertainment as long as you can walk away on your terms.

Video gaming is not an addiction. What about the people who are addicted to Tv shows and spend hours in front of tv. Video gaming is just a form of entertainment and only intelligent people can play games as they need rapid mental activity and undertanding.
