The real question-why don't Dems in congress seem to care-at all? US taxpayer dollars were used by a sitting vice president to bribe a foreign nation into DROPPING a corruption investigation into a company that employed his son. He betrayed this nation for personal profit.

Because they want to speak only the parts of the conspiracy theory that fits their narrative. Like 9/11, why exactly would the US kill thousands and injure, cripple and make sick thousands even millions more?

The Democrats are now in the position of the boy who cried wolf. Their attempts to impeach Trump since day one have backfired. This is an impeachable offense. Tying an aid package up for political gain is worse than anything Nixon did.
Um, I must've missed the other impeachment inquiries before this one. When did they take place in 2017 or 2018?
It does seem that many within the general public have no idea what impeachment is or the process that the Constitution lays out for it.
Quid pro quo is turning into the new collusion. First no collusion, then collusion is not a crime. Now it is no quid pro quo and quid pro quo is not a crime. Let's face it, the Republicans are as double standarded as they say the Democrats are. You don't think Republicans wouldn't have investigated Bill, Obama or Hillary on this, you are fooling yourself if you don't think they would.
Obviously it was a quid pro quo with the security aid. Nice to see some in the GOP finally ready to accept reality. Given the testimony so far, there really was no choice unless they continued to plan to live in an alternate facts universe.
So it appears the defense will now shift to, yes there was, but that does not rise to the level of an impeachable offense.
That said, I wonder how will they deal with the fact that with the maniac repeatedly screaming "No quid pro quo!" for the last month, they will now have to accept that was just another bald faced lie.
I suspect this will not be the last goal post shift before the impeachment process concludes.
