Ailes was completely in charge, the female employees that were harassed were paid off and required to sign non-disclosure agreements, is that doing the right thing. Carlson is hoping for her release from here agreement.
Off the top the names Henry Hyde and Dennis Hastert come to mind, I don't recall them ever indicating they were wrong yet stood in judgement of Clinton. Its silly to make this about party.
Katie Hill was wrong in here statement and deserved to be terminated.
I agree to a point. I do think that Liberal/Progressives (Democrats) have more of a propensity for not being accountable, nor responsible. Everything is societies fault to a degree. However, Republicans, and others are not immune from that either. They can be just as hypocritical sometimes. I think the common denominator is that power corrupts, and some more than others.

Easterbrook will be fine, he's been on $15 million a year, has a rumoured $22 million pay off, and has turned McDonalds around, doubling it's stock value.
Easterbrook who is British, was previously the Head of British chains such as Piizza Express and Wagamama.
Since the potential for favoritism and discrimination has been mentioned, the topic of nepotism is very relevant to this discussion. If people think workplace relationships lead to problems with favoritism, we already have that problem with rampant nepotism in the corporate world.
Do start a thread on this and cite the many examples of the problems of nepotism in the corporate world.
Obviously some sectors created and enforced policies before others.
Fox News is very relevant. It is a textbook example of a corporation that historically condoned, excused and failed to disclose material financial settlements related to harassment and misconduct to shareholders.
Bottom line is that this CEO was held to the same standard as everyone else in the corporation. Only diff is that when the C Suite and/ or talent are dismissed, they typically have an iron clad package.
Agreed. Same goes for most athletes (not in football) that have guaranteed contracts regardless of how they perform.
Alan Houston played for the Knicks and was the 2nd highest paid player in the NBA during 2006 and 2007.
Oh fyi, he didn't play either of those seasons.
That's the free market.
I just love the hypocrisy that *wah* that CEO makes 2000x what the average worker makes but then they watch their favorite NBA player or actor or singer....that makes even more but that's ok.
I've seen very good and very bad CEO's over the years and watched companies flourish or pretty much utterly collapse. Most Americans have no clue about these things.

Well compared to a guy that thinks a random walmart shopper will be just fine running a major corporation I sure do. Thanks again for that gem!
You even cited examples of some bad CEO's damaging their companies and STILL can't get those neurons to fire and make the connection as to why a CEO has a high level of value to a company.
Based upon your comments, I don't think that you've ever worked in a role where you have any real experience on the topic nor have any serious education or work experience with regards to accounting or finance. It's like listening to someone that has spent their whole life living in a small rural town complaining about mass-transit like they're an expert.
Is the head of Comcast really worth 30 million a year?
That's wrong, but thanks for the propaganda and disinformation just the same.
You'd make a great tool for Communists and Socialists.
His salary was $2.7 Million, not $30 Million.
He received $38.1 Million in non-cash benefits for a total compensation package of $40.8 Million.
