And Trump hasn't said anything stupid or unbecoming or otherwise embarrassing to Americans?
At least Trump is a successful businessman and knows business, finance, and economics. However, this is not about Trump, but AOC, but nice try at deflection.
Such a strange fascination with a first term Congresswoman. I am not even a fan of AOC but I see nothing wrong with people getting paid for the hours they worked.
If Trump can Tweet his nonsense to his followers then it is fair game for AOC.
it is a fascination with idiocy, not just the fact that she is a first term congresswoman.
Maxine Waters and Hank Johnson have been in office for some time, yet provide nearly the same degree of entertainment.
It is the shock value- that such idiots could be elected to office- that continues to fascinate and attract attention. One is surprised that someone who should be educated could be so stupid.
so then you agree that in the spring, if you are working 3rd shift on that Saturday night, that your normal 8 hr shift becomes a 7 hr shift, and you lose an hour of pay..
what's good for the goose, it also good for the gander
First of all this is obviously an idiotic statement. But more importantly who is going to open a business in the system she and Bernie and the like want to create? You would need an entire government compliance department to open a mom and pop bakery or barber shop in her system. Business ownership is highly tied to size of middle class. Owning your means of production is the best, quickest way for upward income mobility. Bureaucracy is a self inflicted wound.

Absolutely. That is the life of a non-union hourly employee.
It is imperative to check your hours worked. If you work long enough(40 hrs.) the difference is time and a half vs. straight time.
For the part time hourly it is, will you be there long enough to lose the hour.

So when we turn the clocks back the employee should have one hour of pay removed? That is beyond moronic.
So, assuming that you're with the same company for an entire year (to see both the clocks wind back and forth an hour), I'd agree with you. But many are only seasonal and won't be with their companies when the clocks are moved forward. Thus, for hourly employees, the issue should be dealt with as it occurs.
As for those people who are working less at the time that clocks are moved forward, they, too, should only be paid for hours worked. Its the only fair way to go about things, IMO.
