My prediction, impeachment by the house in December, acquittal by the senate a month or two later. Meanwhile nothing of importance gets done by congress, and we move into the election of Trump vs democrat. In all, this is all political show and everyone knows it.
I think House Democrats hope to get something that screams of some crime and that some Republicans will remember how much they love the rule of law, the Constitution.
But of course lots of it is for show. Remember just a few weeks ago most Americans were against impeachment proceedings....that has changed.

The outcome in the House in preordained. Trump WILL be impeached. The Democrats painted themselves into a corner and have this one option. It is a losing hand because the trial will expose the House Impeachment as totally partisan and an attempt to undo the Election of 2016.
The Democrat House will have NOTHING to show the voters in 2020 - NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS except a vendetta to get Trump that sidetracked all possible legislation that could benefit the American People.

Political show, good god. Do you honestly want to live in a country where it's OK for our incumbent politicians to bribe and blackmail foreign governments to dig up dirt on political enemies? Because if you let this go this time, you bet your sweet ass this will backfire on you next time.
