This nicely sums up why the Russians put Trump in power:

Exactly, Trump won by a minuscule margin in four states. Russian propaganda (and James Comey) most likely had an effect on those voters.
The November 2020 may be different however as Russian and other foreign powers may be emboldened by Trump's implicit and explicit consent to such interference and may be more aggressive in actively hacking our voting machines.
If you have any proof that anything Russia did had any effect on the 2016 election, please do post it up.
Fact:
There is no outside influence that would make anyone who was inclined to vote for a Left wing candidate like Hillary vote for Trump instead.
Democrats say they can't get elected anymore because of Russian interference and that Trump has colluded with them to make it happen. Hillary Clinton says she lost because of the Russians. Everytime they lose a seat it's because of Russians.
Why isn't the NY Times, CNN, NBC, etc talking about Russian collusion in yesterday's elections?
So if all of this Russian interference is true, how did the Democrats win in VA, KY and make gains in PA? Now all of a sudden there are no Russians and we are back to being washed by a Blue Wave.

Who's son was on the board of that Ukrainian gas company? Trump's, or Biden's? Oh yeah -- it was Biden's son. Guess he just happened to get the job because he was a gas expert and not because he was Biden's son. WAKE UP

Because their big hope was a completely destructive and chaotic person in the White House- holding the Virginia House of Delegates has zero impact on foreign policy.
bingo. Russia does NOT like Trump per se.
They correctly estimated that he would damage US foreign relations, especially in much of Europe. Pretty simple math.
