If inner city folks can be ridiculed incessantly, rural people are fair game.

Some of the best comedy material concern those that live in countryside/rural areas.

Indeed. I don’t understand why anyone assumes that rural America has a right to be exempt from ridicule.

Other than threads about the violence in Chicago and the homelessness in Los Angles I dont recall thread ridiculing city folks. I do recall many bashing those that live in rural areas and the south.

I'm just going to be consistent and condemn all broad attacks on areas or groups because they're inherently illogical. I can understand it more coming from some uneducated knuckle-dragger with a klan hood in the back seat but from a Berkely PHD candidate it's at least good to see him retract and perhaps re-think his echo-chamber idiocy.

Now poking fun at rural areas or the inner city is a different story and has been fodder for a lot of comedians over the years.

What this guy did was not magically excusable because some white-power type said something bad about all black people in the projects. They're both d-bags.

I'm thinking of a guy I know who is working class, with a disabled wife and they just could not make it in the city. They could only afford to live in bad areas and the crime kept getting worse.
The only way they could have a decent life was to move to a rural area where they were able to buy a plot of land and a mobile home. They got some chickens and a veggie garden and the wife sells her needlework online now vs. waking up to gunshots and druggies on the sidewalk at 3am and sleeping with one eye open.

Philosophy bro wants to take their peace in life away from them. This is evil.

Yes, and many people who live in such places can laugh at themselves.

Yeah, well I hope you don’t rely on your memory too often if that’s the case.

Let em! My house in Knoxville seemingly appreciates daily.

If it's so horrible here I can't explain the influx of transplants.
