Mexico is actually doing pretty well. Tourism has been increasing every year, Americans as well as others are retiring there, and the tech industry is heading to boom there. Mexico City is also booming and gentrifying. I know a lot of people who visit for a vacation. Nothing remotely like Somalia.

"...The International Monetary Fund was the first to announce, a few years ago, the arrival of “Mexico’s moment”. Then came the release of Spectre, the latest James Bond adventure whose spectacular opening scenes – the fruit of government tax incentives for production – have helped to put Mexico City on the global stage and to attract foreign investment. The growing international attention paid to Mexico has led people to talk of its capital as a “new Berlin”, a residence of choice for intellectuals, artists, designers and creative people in general, attracted from all over the world by its cultural ferment, its liveability and the friendliness of its inhabitants, as well as the low cost of living and property...."

Mexico's murder rate is 29 per 100,000 in 2018. They are over that for this year.

US murder rate per 100k

In 2018, the US murder rate was 5.0 per 100,000, for a total of 15,498 murders.

The day that obrador backed down to chapo was the announcement that the cartels rule Mexico and he is a puppet
The question every American should ask
How many of our congressmen are on the chapo payroll

If that’s all you can afford, have at it. Mexico is too filthy for my taste.

I am an adventurous person, but I won't go there either. Plus, I don't want to subsidize corruption, and a country that wants to send us their trash and drain our resources.

He's probably on the take, quite typical for Mexico.
Like its any better in the US, its OUR DRUG LAWS that have made the cartels the way they are today!!!

Without tough drug laws, the US would not be such a lucrative marketplace for them, the cartels rely on those drug laws being in place!

the US media will never investigate as any negative stories as it may reflect poorly on illegal immigrants.

The liberals rather Mexicans are murdered wholesale rather than upset their political narrative.
