The president doesn't have to stand down because a corrupt politician happens to be running for the other party's nomination.
He is in charge of all federal law enforcement and foreign policy.
He can demand an investigation from a foreign nation if he chooses and he can hold that nation's feet to the fire if he sees fit to do so.
I'm convinced Republicans are doing this on purpose to try to overwhelm the coverage with so much trash that you can't dispel all of it.
The new argument of the moment is that the impeachment is invalid bc Democrats have been trying to catch Trump doing something impeachable since he was elected...
I'm other words, if people think you're a criminal and keep an eye out for you committing crimes, then if you're caught committing a crime, it doesn't count bc they were out to get you...

Yesterday a TV station was interviewing attendees of the LSU-Alabama game. One young man, I assume a student, when asked what the impeachment inquiry was about, explained that the President of Ukraine called Mr. Trump and threatened him with something; the explanation rather broke down at that point, but he did say he would vote Trump in 2020.

I recall President Trump running for president with some very good candidates and he took them off the stage one by one.. Now the democrats have a bunch of weirdos and fossils running and they have to create another witch hunt to try to take Trump out.. this has been going on and on for years..
If anyone is dumb , it is the democrat party of weirdos that hate cops, hate ICE , want opened borders, want deadly lethal drugs to come pouring in, put illegals first, want to take our gun rights, use communist tactics, want us to get rid of oil , cows, airplanes ,give illegals free health care, give illegals welfare, protect illegals in sanctuary cities, create tent cities and poop maps, and promise freebies to everyone.
No wonder Trump got elected.

It has always been a bribe. Soliciting a foreign Govt. to investigate your opponent for personal gain.

Trump is a crook and violated the Constitution.
