Republicans are dismissive of hearsay testimony but seem intent, given the number of times they've brought it up today, in their demands to hear the whistleblower's hearsay testimony.

Can anyone explain this?

Will Marie Yovanovitch be prosecuted for lying to congress?

Yep. She lied to Congress. Under Oath. Roger Stone her. And her lie about not being aware of the Bidens' conflict of interest makes ALL of her testimony in this impeachment farce suspect.

Listening to her testimony she sounds like someone with an inflated sense of importance, and a general attitude of how dare a president makes policy decisions against my beliefs.

When she started talking about the importance of her dinner parties in fancy houses I knew this entire line of testimony is a waist of time.

Today we got "TheDonald was mean to me"
the witness today also noted that TheMeanDonald gave the Ukraine much needed defense weapons that has helped them a lot (her words)

also the witness noted that she had absolutely no information related to the charges brought against the president that are the subject of this investigation.

My belief, at least I hope, is there interest in the WB is understanding who was talking out of turn in the White House and why did he go to Schiff’s office for guidance instead of his own agencies chain of command. Not to mention why all these people passing classified info to the WB, why didn’t they report it. These are all legitimate points.

Wow, another devastating moment from the dems.

Marie Yovanovitch just testified that she is unaware of any illegal conduct by President Trump.

True. So far the Republicans have tried the:

1. The whistleblower must testify! defense. No he doesn't. The whistlebower doesn't matter anymore and even if he did, he can't be compelled to testify. That's what whistleblower protections are all about. They can't put that genie back in the bottle and make the bad stuff go away.

2. The But Obama!/But Hillary!/But Biden! defense. None of them are president now and none of this concerns any of their actions, but Trump's.

3. The "There was no quid pro quo because the aid was eventually released!" defense. Just because someone is a bad criminal doesn't make them innocent. After all, Trump is still a husband and a businessman

4. The "Everything is hearsay!" defense. There is firsthand testimony still to come (Gordon Sondland and others,) and even if there wasn't, Mick Mulvaney incriminated Trump went he held the press conference telling America to "Get over it."
