True re Democrat leadership, but not some quite vociferious members....Al Green, Maxine Waters, etc.

A one-sentence rebuttal to a fact-filled post.

Are any of the facts incorrect?

"The Complete Idiot's Guide to the impeachment by the United States Congress of Donald Trump, NOT President of the United States by 3 million votes cast by We the People."

The allegation is that Trump defied all normal diplomatic channels by sending in his own little band of Merry Pranksters led by Rudolph Giuliani and Rudy's two new BFF's forever - Lev (Parnas) and Igor (Fruman) who were attempting to come up with dirt - whether real or imaginary - on anyone they possibly could.

Lev and Igor especially lusted after the Bidens (Joe and Hunter). However, they first had to get rid of the completely blameless career foreign servant who was serving as the Ambassador to Ukraine (Marie Yovanovitch).

Marie Yovanovitch had the misfortune of being regarded as honest and indeed IS honest - too honest for Trump because he needed a "loyal" lawbreaker in the Ambassador's spot.

Trump's minions carried out the president's* dirty work with great enthusiasm and Yovanovitch was ultimately disposed of.

This set the stage for Trump to approach the President of the Ukraine with the demand that Ukraine undertake its own investigation of Hunter Biden and furthermore, that Ukraine needed to make a public announcement of that special investigation.

If Ukraine did not conduct this investigation per Trump's orders, than Trump would not send Ukraine the weapons it needs to fight off an invasion by Putin and his Generals in the Russian Army - no investigation, no weapons for self defense. No weapons for self defense, no more free and independent country of Ukraine.

This action by Trump has been called a "bribe", "extortion", or just plain old "quid pro quo" (mods - these 3 foreign words are also commonly used by English speakers and mean "this for that."

The purpose of the impeachment hearings in the House is to determine if Trump did indeed attempt to get the Government of a foreign country (Ukraine) to help him win re-election by neutralising his perceived chief Democratic rival for the Office of President.

Got it, guys?

I know you Repubs have had the hots for Hillary for years but she had nothing to do with this particular caper. Hillary was Benghazi, remember? Benghazi is in northern Africa - NOT the Ukraine.

If the Repubs in the Senate whimsically decide to draw the names of potential Democratic witnesses at random out of some hat, they will only make fools of themselves.

Plus, we now have the precedent that potential witnesses called before Congressional hearings have the option of thumbing their noses and not showing up. The penalty - nothing. Way to go Repubs! You've given even potential witnesses who may have actually witnessed something an easy out.

We Dems can't thank you enough!

Moscow Mitch and his intrepid gang of Republican mobsters in the Senate can draw the whole thing out for as long as they please. If they drag it on long enough, the impeachment and trial of Trump the Chump will be fresh in the minds not just of those of us here on City Data, but - far more importantly - those Americans who are middle of the road/Independents. Most American voters don't follow politics as rabidly as we do here, but if the Senate has only recently finished a bloody fight to the finish with the Dems over Trump's fate, this will be uppermost in most American's minds.

Trump is all but guaranteed to skate, but the entire proceedings will leave a nasty taste and the stomachs of American voters may be too squeamish to allow them to do anything but vote against Trump, since the Senate Repub's long drawn out battle that didn't need to be will not leave Americans with enough time to digest it all before they enter the polling booth.

Maybe I and the other Dems are wrong in this analysis. But maybe we're not. Guess we will find out, won't we? There's so much arrogance and ignorance to go around.
So what happens with this conspiracy theory turns out to be just that? Are you then willing to accept him as your President?

Do you have proof to the contrary? Losers are losers because of their choices and behaviors, yet they think they're victims and are extremely tuned into the Democrat message that tells them their problems are not the fault of their own, but that of Republicans.

Hmmm... Biden actually got something for his bribe. Fire the Ukrainian prosecutor within 6 hours or you don't get the $1 billion. So the Ukraine did it. They fired their prosecutor.

I am willing to bet anything that the later group is going to say a lot more stupid things than the former. I'd be shocked if there is one smart comment out of that group.

But “I was Impeached” is gonna be stamped on Trump’s forehead whether you like it or not.
I think what will be stamped in history is that incompetent democratic morons tried to use impeachment to prop up their failed influence op designed to elevate hearsay to a crime. They haven't moved the needle one bit. People aren't buying it despite their desperate use of focus groups to shape their message.

Which message resonates more with people? A one-sided BS impeachment facade? Or the idea that what the left is doing to Trump. they'll do to you.

Trump can add the whole story to his book when he leaves the presidency in early 2025.
