Actually, Firtash may be running low on funds. A portion of the $170 million in bonds he had to put up to the Austrians was covered by a Russian mafia figure he's tied to. At least the cost for Nunes and his 'investigators' to fly to Vienna was covered by U.S. taxpayers.
I am not sure what the point is, but why shouldn't they be happy?
1. Trump's approval rating went up five points during the hearings.
2. Support for impeachment dropped corresponding five points.
3. Support for impeachment is minimal in swing states.
4. Republican Senators are planning to draw out impeachment should it happens to keep Warren and Sanders from campaigning, and to sabotage Biden, who will be called as witness.
5. The dems failed to produce one witness claiming to have witnessed an actual crime or heard the president ask for a quid pro quo.
And, most important of all...
6. As dems have wasted their time shooting themselves on the foot, Trump and the RNC have amassed a massive war chest of 100 million, several tens of millions of which has been spent already creating infrastructure in battleground and light blue states to identify Republican votes and get them to the polls.
The DNC, but contrast, has only amassed 8 million with 7 million debt, and all monies collected by the candidates are going to fight each other in a very messy primary which could last a very long time.
So yeah, they are pretty happy, because it is beginning to look pretty good for them. I believe that the dems better pick a very electable candidate by Super Tuesday, or they might as well fold up shop for the cycle. They are letting it slip though their fingers.
Which polls are you going by to come up with that conclusion? He has sit at a high of 44% for sometime with most polling showing 40%. 538 has his favorability at 41.7%, 42.something for likely voters.
How about new Law & Crime article about how natural gas CEO from Ukraine is willing to testify as to what Trump's lawyer and associates tried to do in the Ukraine?
Kobolyev (the Naftogaz CEO) says Parnas, Fruman, Giuliani and their various activities are all connected. An associate of the individual (another Naftogaz senior official) that Parnas and Fruman approached to replace Kobolyev for a share of the anticipated profits instead went to Federal authorities. This guy said somewhere that Parnas and Fruman did not begin to understand the gas market.
Parnas is broke but found enough money for his company (Fraud Guarantee) to pay Rudy Giuliani $500,000. Giuliani keeps announcing he has no business deals in Ukraine - he used to say with Parnas but apparently has dropped that part of his denial.
That there are no completed Ukrainian deals may be true, however. This appears to be the gang that can't shoot straight with Giuliani's efforts on behalf of his so-called client now bringing Trump to the breach of impeachment.
Tuned in to Hannity briefly tonight - talk about another planet. Hannity was talking complete nonsense with zero supporting evidence. Nunes was on, looking very thin. Can we say he's under a lot of pressure? lol.......
And viewership if impeachment hearings averaged about 12,000,000 - again contrary to what Nunes outrageously inappropriate comments - actually lies - to the witnesses last week.
charges encompassed in the subpoena include conspiracy to defraud the US, acting as an unregistered foreign agent, obstruction of justice, making false statements to federal officials, wire fraud, money laundering and violations of federal election laws that prohibit the use of straw donors and foreign money in US elections.
But I am sure Giuliani and his GOP associates sleep well at night after all that steak they ate at the BLT Prime.
I checked the menu. They have a 40 Oz steak for 2. And at just $140 the potatoes is $26 more. Again for two. But looks like Pompeo was trying to make eat it by himself.

Rasmussen has Trump with a disapproval of 55%?
Had to check for myself. Sure enough.
Rasmussen has disapproval numbers at 55%.
Political also at 55%.
Reuters at 56%.
This is before most people have had time to absorb not only the testimony but the news coming-out about Giuliani and Nunes, and polling companies have had time to contact people and gather stats.
