Yea, lawyers. K-Street lawyers.

Absolute disgrace. Several of his own platoon members testified AGAINST him.

Two military judges denied his appeal.

Trump pardons him. And his toothless deplorables just gobble it up, thinking it somehow makes Trump "pro-military" by pardoning soldiers who have been convicted in military court.

I have been watching the Leavenworth mini-series on Starz, which is about the Clint Lorance case; the series is running now, it hasn't even completed yet (I guess they'll have to reshoot the final episode now that he's free).

Several of the soldiers interviewed in the documentary series who were at the incident had a low opinion of Lorance.

Personally, I think it's possible that Lorance was under orders that others didn't know about, or was acting on intelligence that he couldn't share with the rest of his team, and so to them he looked reckless. He had only been there three days and was fresh from briefing with command, so that's why I think the rules of engagement he was operating under didn't make sense to his fellow soldiers who had been in the field for some time (trying to give Lorance the benefit of the doubt, but maybe the soldiers who had been in the field longer deserve that).

It's a polarizing case...

Well maybe the U.N. would have given us moral support in the event of another attack. Or the President of France would have wept very sincere tears. Now the world will hate us because we think it's OK to kill bomb-makers.

He did it to try to bolster support for himself.

He undermined the military system in doing so.

Shouldn’t have done it imo. Courts found these guys to be murderers.
