As we have seen on this thread, it rallied his aptly named base.

It put other witnesses on notice that he doesn't care how impeccable their reputation is, he will smear it.

It distracted folks from this courageous woman's testimony.
I don't think so. The Audience stood up and cheered her and many reasonable Americans probably thought the same.

All you are witnessing here is the very same people whose minds were made up LONG ago spouting the same nonsense.

The fact that they are all reacting so strongly indicates they have fears. 90% of the testimony so far makes Trump and Rudy and the others look bad.

Remember, Trump is already 20-35% in arrears (negatives to positives). Now we have many of his "loyal servants" deciding they won't lie under oath for him.

Let me be clear here. He needs to be impeached because of his actions. None of the rest should matter.

BUT, if we are discussing the political and electoral fallout, the key here is that if this makes even 1 or 2% of Americans realize that he is "over the top" who already don't think it, that's a major movement as any chances he has of victory are already dependents on razor thin projections.

Paid audience by the DNC ... she should of been booed when she brought up dead Americans in Benghazi you know that 3 a.m. call Killary didn't answer but what difference does it make she is still breathing isn't she.

Trump of course is upset because he was bested by a woman that’s what really upsets him and like always his base agrees with him.

Ivana once told a story that involved a ski trip when they were still dating.

I forget the particulars of the trips down the run, but the end result was that she handily out skied him (which isn't surprising considering that she had skied competitively at an amateur level). He was so miffed that he pouted, and stormed off the slope...disappearing into the lodge for the rest of the day.

tRump's very child-like impulsiveness is beyond his control.

His followers see it as part of his charm.

Right, he offends a lot of people:

2. NATO allies that have grown accustomed to us paying for their defense.

3. the military-industrial complex that was hoping for some new pointless wars.

4. international corporations that made gobs of money selling cheap Chinese-made garbage in the US.

5. anyone that didn't fully comprehend the significance of the Tea Party movement and can't understand why anyone would every vote for Trump.

Trump's tweet didn't even come close to being witness intimidation. The fact that the Dems have made such a big deal out of it shows how desperate they've become. Saying mean things is not witness intimidation. Threatening a witness with violence, financial harm, etc., is. Trump's tweet was childish, classless, and un-Presidential - but doesn't rise to the legal standard of witness intimidation.

It almost seems as if Trump and the Democratic party are in a race to the bottom. Every time one does something stupid, the other counters with increased stupidity. Dems need to learn that Trump is his own worst enemy. If they spent half as much time taking the high road and demonstrating some leadership as they do reacting to Trumps buffoonery, they might have a chance in 2020. As it is, they're doing everything they can to disenfranchise voters.

This thread illustrates two points of view.

1) tRump's tweet was a silly, impulsive, damaging reaction to a woman giving testimony and it may come back to haunt him.

2) It was another one of his brilliant 4D chess moves that we mere mortals simply don't understand.

Only Trumplings, with their gifted insight, can follow along.

I report. You decide.

Only if Trump does it. Entertainers, media people and politicians can directly threaten Trump, up to an including violence, but that's OK.

Who tries intimidation via tweet?

Why, yes. A snowflake would do that.
