People --- human beings ---- will still have to play a role here. After all, who's going to repair the robots when they break down?

And I'm not all that worried about folks who make more money than I do or whatnot? You'll never have a perfect system, and life isn't supposed to be fair. Be happy with what you have.

Just finished reading “Don’t Be Evil”. Nice read if you want to know what the people in Silicon Valley think of lesser mortals. Not much. We are just a bunch of data.

I get my mail at a UPS store. Today I got a phone call from the Amazon driver saying he just delivered my package there. I was confused because the UPS store is closed Sunday. He told me the door was open and asked if he could just leave the package on the desk.

So this guy not only has to run around like a nut delivering packages, but has to call too?!

I work at the post office and we were all really happy when Amazon started delivering their own stuff. It was getting too crazy.

What's not true is that the people with that collection of personality traits are more likely to end up in prison than the pinnacle of success. Contrary to what many believe, most psychopaths don't end up in prison and many are "successful."

Other robots. Robots will manufacture, service and repair robots cutting humans out of the loop altogether.

Could it be that we`re taxed because we`re heavily in debt? The deficit for October alone was $134 billion and we have revenues to pay for 1/4 of that. We all like our free stuff don`t we?

Still waiting for that to happen.
Yes, but the population is exploding, and many of these new "robots" are being used to do the work of low-skilled workers (such as fast food workers) who, as a group, reproduce more than the middle and upper classes do.

If this trend continues, I wonder how long it will be before the wealthy and/or "producers" get very tired of supporting those who don't work and "the elite"will decide to do something about that?

I don't foresee this happening for at least two more generations IF it happens at all, but I hope that there will be some other solution other than something like "The Final Solution" that the Nazis came up with to exterminate the Jews.

But, in the end the robots turn on them.

No doubt that development was quite welcomed to better survive the crazy Christmas time rush of packages.

I do think this will be one the biggest issues there are, in a decade or so.
When robots can be trusted to walk a dog, I think we'll be on the way for sure. Robots will only be able to advance for as long as they don't cause recessions or worse.
