They didn't put themselves above anything. They witnessed what they believed were improprieties and reported them. Even the president is not above the law.
He isn't below it either but is being denied due process that any citizen would have if they got a traffic ticket !!!

The Dem Lawyer, after probing Vindman changes the phone call from " a favor " to a demand , and then gets the Colonel to agree . Very slick. Only those that can think clearly see the charade.
