If your argument is that Poroshenko was also corrupt - that's all the more reason to pressure him to implement reforms and/or hold up aid in that moment. "It's hard" is not an excuse to abandon foreign policy initiatives and hand over aid dollars to an administration you feel is too corrupt to even try to deal with.
