Quote:
Warrick County, IN — What would you do if you found a creepy device attached to your car that looked like something used to track you? Would you simply leave it there and go on about your business? Or, would you remove it? Well, a man in Indiana chose the former and removed it. It turned out to be a GPS tracker and because it was placed there by police, this man is now being charged with theft. He’s now fought his case all the way to the state Supreme Court.

Removing a thing someone stuck on your car = theft.

Threatening people into giving up a portion of their paycheck = not theft.

Makes sense.

I sure hope he wins. Should be illegal for them to track him.

Neighbor puts a GPS on your car to see what you're up to-unacceptable, creepy, tresspass

Cops put a GPS on your car to see what you're up to- Just doing their job

Fortunately for us, 'just doing ones job' has never been an acceptable excuse.

If I found such a device on my car, i would remove it and place it on an over the road tractor trailer!

Under the kind of justice system the democrats want installed the man would have no recourse !!!
Once the accusation and charge of theft was made the only thing left is to decide is the punishment !!!
Fortunately that kind of gov. isn't widely accepted and the person does have recourse !!! Lets hope he doesn't get a liberal judge but one that actually knows what the constitution says !!!

It would be more fun to stop at the donut shop and put it on a cop car. Or perhaps stop at city hall and tag the mayor.

imo, if someone puts something on your car, it becomes yours, and thus you can do what you want with it. lets hope the judge rules that way as well.
