Government always knows best, (I saw that with a great deal of sarcasm)!

Heck, she's right!

I am sick of green too. However, the fact is the U.S. needs to get it together on this issue quickly. Countries like China are way ahead of us. They have a handle on it, we don't. The media blitz is an attempt to get people to wake up and smell the pollution. I'm sorry I had to write that.

I don't see how you can say China is way ahead of us. They are bringing online a new coal fired power plant every week. The greenies in this country would be having caniption fits if we were doing that.

As for the media blitz, I would like to know who is going to be the recipient of green in their wallet as a result of this. The media blitz is more about separating you and your money.

China has a handle on it? that's the first time I have ever heard that. Can you tell where you get that idea. I'd like to get updated.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!! I have previously considered myself an environmentalist, and I love the outdoors. However, this is getting ridiculous!!!! It's as if people can't handle any ambiguity in their lives and need some sort of structure to dictate their behavior. With the decline of traditional religion, it seems that this new phony, obsessive-compulsive environmentalism has become the new religion for a lot of people. Well, I for one, hate dogma of any sort, and will not be converting to this religion!!!! To borrow a statement from a poster on another message board, it's enough to make me want to dump my recycling bin in the local water supply just for spite!!!
Yes, this is getting crazy! Last week, my dad brought a black bag to the store and said that he is not using plastic bags anymore for groceries because it supports the war. People are really losing their minds these days!
