Guy, you obviously did not watch the hearings, in which not a single "witness" claimed first hand knowledge, and several of them had nothing to do with anything. When you are claiming that Trump's followers are children, you are clearly projecting. Ignorance and arrogance are a very dangerous, and childish, combination.
Here is Joe Biden demanding quid pro quo from Ukraine. If quid pro quo is wrong, then there is NOTHING wrong with my President investigating this. That is why INDEPENDENTS have turned against these farcical hearings, Trump's poll numbers are on the rise, and real impeachment will lead to a Trump landslide.
What I find most off putting is the way Trump wallows in the role of victim. His followers keyed into that above everything else. No president has been vilified as Trump has been; no president has had to endure so many witch hunts; no president has been as badly treated by the press which is the enemy of the people and only "fake news."
Even our Country is a victim, according to Trump. Our own allies supposedly take advantage of us financially, so we should dismantle NATO (and make Putin very happy while we're at it). Our allies let us do all the fighting and don't send off enough of their own young people to die in our never ending senseless wars. Our trading partners are double crossing us. Time to get tough and if we put all our farmers out of work in the process, we can just put them on agricultural welfare.
Our traditional allies are hampered by this system that most of them have called democracy. If only the US could be more like N. Korea. Kim Jong Un doesn't get pushed around the way Trump claims he does. If only poor old Donald could have the power Kim does, but instead Trump must settle for writing Kim love letters. Trump admires strong men like Turkey's President Erdogan who got the green light from Trump to invade Syria and roll over our former Kurdish allies who had been helping us fight ISIS literally the day before. And then there's the Saudi Royal Family - another gang of tyrants to be adored and emulated. The Saudi's certainly don't allow themselves to be victimized by any trappings of morality or democracy either.
The moment Trump's Cult realized that they too could be victims, they gave Trump their immedient and undying support. The Cult feels victimized by Black Americans - and Brown ones, as well. The Cult just knows that zillions of brown illegals pour over the border everyday, and then head for the nearest Social Services office to sign up for a cornucopia of free goodies, all paid for on the backs of hard working Trumpers. Bad enough that Trumpers are victimized by the taxes that they pay to send our nation's children to public schools. It's even worse that they must pay for the poorest of these children to have a school lunch.
Oh, and let's not forget the War on Christianity. The Evangelicals are ticked off that the US Government won't allow them to establish themselves and their beliefs as the only true State Religion. The entrance to every elementary school should be carved with the words, "Believe in Jesus or He will send you ALL to Hell!" And everyone who does not begin every sentence with "Merry Christmas!" from October 1 to December 26 should be sent away to Bible Gulag until they learn the proper Christian reverence that is every American's patriotic duty.
Poor Trumpers! What victims you all are. Your leader reminds you of this constantly and you adore him for that.
