There are people running around who still think we never landed on the moon, 9/11 was an inside job, and Trump colluded with Russians, so we will always have these conspiracy minded dead enders among us

Not if he behaves himself.

Trump is solely responsible for the scrutiny he falls under. He generates the issues that need investigating. He will continue to be scrutinized for any illicit, illegal or immoral act or any other thing he does wrong in office. Trump is not above the law nor immune from accountability. He works for us.

Exactly.

You have to love the idiocy of people who think that there is no crime of quid pro quo if the favor is never delivered or extorted funds are released.

The crime is using the presumption. You can be arrested for trying to get a hitman to kill someone without them actually being killed, dopes.

It is called "Projecting"
Democrats are accusing Trump, for what they in fact did.

I told you I wanted them to try and impeach him.
Now you know, why so many Republicans wanted Schiff to go ahead and try it. Boomerang!

Trump knew about the Russian hacking, he did not report it to authorities. Instead he eagerly awaited the next installment of the news from the Russian activity through Roger Stone. Thirteen Russians were indicted for their activities in the incursion upon our sovereignty, as was Paul Manafort, who famously gave the Russians Republican polling data on Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Minnesota. Ironic that those states were critical in the 2016 election.

Trump is a traitor.

Sondland admitted that he was just being presumptive. He said he assumed Trump was withholding aid to Ukraine for political reasons, was nothing but his own ignorant presumptions. Sondland convinced himself that his own assumptions were fact, and then went around repeating them to others.

So everyone he gossiped to were only hearing what Sondland assumed might be going on. It was not until after Sondland had been spreading around his rumors as fact, before he finally did what he should have done from the very start, ask his boss.

Amb. Sondland and LtCol Vindman are two examples of every boss's worse nightmare. The worry that people working for him will one day misinterpret something the boss says or does. That, instead of asking the boss for clarification to learn the facts, they will just gossip behind the boss's back with their false, and nefarious assumptions, and undermine him.

Big time miscalculation. I blame Pelosi for it. She should have had a tighter grip and never allowed that idiot Schiff to run this spectacle.

She clearly knew that the Senate would never vote to convict. She knew that the general public is tired of hyperpartisan hearings like the Kavanuagh's hearings and the Mueller probe and hearing. Christine Ford could not clearly remember any details and it clearly reeked of a DNC hatched plan that was badly played by Feinstein. As far as the Russia interference both parties did that and there was no evidence that Trump personally asked Russia for help ( nor for for that matter, Clinton).

Any poll conducted by Pelosi would have clearly shown independent voter fatigue with such investigations and that they have cried wolf too many times. The better option would have been to shut this down and put up good candidates and fire up their base so that they can achieve the desired result in 2020. Instead she allowed Schiff to make a fool of himself, herself and the democratic party. I am sure quite a few house members now wish they had not voted for this sorry clown show of an inquiry.

Herd Mentality. Yes, they will figure out another "thing".

However, next time they will utterly fail, unless as in Nazi Germany they convince their legions that a group is to blame. In the Nazis it was the ethnic minority of Judaism Currently, Schiff et al have not gone that far.
