Such payoffs are perfectly legal. Where do you people come up with your crazy ideas?

There's that Individual 1 again ...

If jail was good enough for Cohen, it is certainly good enough for his co-conspirator.

If they are expenses to advance an election campaign, they need to be paid with funds donated within the parameters set by law, and properly reported.

Otherwise, it could mean jail time. That's the law.

There is something wrong with a person who constantly pushes the envelope to see what he can get away with. He always crosses the line to see if he gets challenged and then bullies anyone who does. Thats been his style for decades. So don't be surprised that he is finally getting hammered. He will spend the rest of his life in court because he has gone too far. I think there is a danger that people get immune to his constant lies and illegal stunts so it begins to get normalized. There is nothing normal about Trump.

the fact that micheal cohen is serving jail time for excessive campaign contribution for the daniels pay-off directly contradicts your belief.

I think the thread is about Pecker talking to prosecutors. I don't see where the Dems are involved in that at all.

Trump hired Cohen to handle it legally.

If Cohen acted illegally, it's on him.

Pecker's testimony has nothing to do with the impeachment. He is testifying about fraud.

You’re completely ignoring the fact he tactically admitted guilt naming Trump to reduce the sentence on his more serious crimes he actually committed. That his how desperate your Mueller team was to use leverage to get something on Trump. He could have easily beat those charges in court, it served a purpose for both sides.
