Trump will be impeached. But he might not be convicted, in which case he will be compared to OJ Simpson who also beat his rap even though the whole country knows he did it. The Senate Republicans will be the ones who will have to wear the shame of letting a corrupt inept President off the hook. And Slippery Slimy Don will have wormed his way out of another jam.

This is going to open a giant can of worms for the Democrats if they go forward with it, once it moves to the Senate it's no longer one sided and will expose a lot of stuff they don't want exposed. They are playing with fire and I'm pretty sure ole Nancy realizes that. I honestly don't think they will do it especially when the end result is likely to favor Trump.

If they impeach based on feels and heresy they will lose what little credibility they have left.
What transcripts?

Trump will be impeached. The Senate will not vote to remove him. I'm curious how the 2020 election will go. Will Republican and Independent voters be more or less likely to vote for an impeached POTUS? This will be an election for the history books, that's for sure.

Lefties: If Donnie is impeached and people on the right say "wow, I was wrong about him. He was a criminal and unfit to hold office" are you willing to 'forgive & forget' all of the political arguments and move on? Or would you be to petty and try to throw the "told you so" attitude in their face like a petulant child?
No.

The left views Trump as being guilty until proven innocent. If he is not impeached, the left will still assume he is guilty, it just hasn't been proven yet. So nothing will change regarding the left's collective view of the president.

Obviously this is a situational question.
For the record, I started a thread discussing the probability that this will happen:

The bolded is unnecessary. The president has either been impeached or he hasn't, and the criteria you listed is the only criteria. If at least one article of impeachment has passed a vote on the house floor (not in committee) then the President has been impeached. If that total is zero, then the President has not been impeached.

He wont be impeached.
The dems are hoping to leave enough scar tissue to taint the voters.
Clinton WAS impeached, and still clobbered the opposition in the election so...

It all comes down to major butthurt over losing 2016. And it wont end anytime soon.
Trump wins and it's 4 more years of this crap.
Trump loses and it's 4 more years of this crap.
I'll just be the GOP looking for impeachments and whatever should he lose.
Either way, WE lose.
