If you contract for someone to kill somebody for you, but the plot is foiled, are you not still guilty? Yeah, it's like that.
Nice story. NYT said he was receiving pressure from both sides in Congress to release the aid. So nobody knows except Trump.

Maybe they should have been patient and waited for Trump to actually receive some dirt on Biden.

Because at this point - there's nothing. He paid up and got nothing for it.

I've been saying this for a while.

Now it's confirmed.

And Rs have been using the fact that he released the aid ONCE HE HAD BEEN CAUGHT as evidence that he never improperly withheld it to begin with. LOL!

It's been public knowledge right from the beginning of this controversy, that he released the aid to Ukraine only after he was aware that the whistleblower had exposed him. The fact that he then quickly released the money, is evidence that he knew he'd tried to run a quid pro quo and was hoping no one would make an issue of it. Too bad Trump, you knew you were doing wrong and got caught red-handed. If you'd been smart, you wouldn't have released it and then made up some other excuse for holding it. Of course, however bogus that other excuse might have been, the members of your base would have lapped it up.

That's not how it works. But you keep telling yourself that. I'm gonna go with everybody who actually knows what they're talking about and were involved in the process.

If he was so worried about corruption in Ukraine, why did he release aid then?

The witnesses who were involved with the aid, the OMB staff, you know, people with knowledge of how these things work and who have knowledge of how things went down. I'm not going to list them by name. You can do your own research on that.

You didn't answer by question, BTW. If he was so worried about corruption, why did he release aid in 2018 without a peep? Maybe because Biden wasn't running for office then?

I don't know - ask Trump.

Maybe events happened within Ukraine that prompted a different response.

Witnesses... there are no witnesses except leaker Vindman. Everything else has been hearsay.

AND as we find this out we find out that his own Office of Management and budget was telling him it was NOT okay to hold back the funds.
