Free markets are a necessary component in order to have a healthy middle class.

A key component of free markets is liberalization of trade.

Yes, government is needed to prevent third parties from being harmed.

The Spanish colonies were set up as an oligarchy from the start. When they rebelled against Spain, it was the Oligarchy, in place, just wanting more power that comes with independence

What makes you think USA not have any corruption or problems in its history, and right now? We may have higher quality of living, but that is because we had our own struggles to achieve it. We still are not perfect though.

You are confusing free market with free of regulation.

Government can absolutely punish someone for what they do on their own land in a free market - if impact others negatively then there is a roll of government to regulate that activity. Regulations about use, what can build, what can sell, etc as relates to impacting others land use. Many businesses have been fined and forced to clean up their land.

Government also has a roll in common good such as infrastructure and collect taxes to support. Land is sold if don't pay taxes or fines associated with owning the land.

You are proposing any land is its own fiefdom to do whatever the owner wants to do no matter the impact to others. If take it to the extreme, allow the owner to kill anyone that inadvertently trips and falls onto their land - what idiocy.

Free market is an economic system in which prices are determined by unrestricted competition between privately owned businesses.

The free market allows one to have a chance at avoiding corruption. Options matter.

Because you are violating others rights but poisoning the water they drink. That you asked the question is all the proof one needs to understand that you don't understand rights and are therefore uninformed. Fighting for rights is how our country was founded and you don't understand them.

Agreed, protecting rights as an actual job of government.

Then why do governments "legally" certify corporations, Team Red?

Can't the market figure that out on its own?

If we recognize that the competive forces inherent in a free market system are the best way to check corruption, why then is there an argument for a monopolistic govt run legal/ dispute resolution system?

Nowhere is corruption more obvious/rampant than in the states legal system.
