Why do you care how many threads any OP starts?

No one is forcing you to read them.

That would have been only a decade after the Treaty of Ghent, which ended the War of 1812 between the British and the American Colonies. A war which was partially ignited by a previous President thinking the US could wrest Canada away from the Brits by just marching up there and taking it.

I am sure that President Adams was alive and probably very aware of the whole thing. I would wonder if he really thought it would be a piece of cake to try again.

The US invaders pretty much got their butts kicked in 1812. Had the Brits not been so busy dealing with Napoleon, they might have sent enough troops to retake the colonies.

Right, LOL. Maybe Norway will be clamoring to be part of the USA, too.

That certainly explains any desire Americans would have to annex Canada.

Yes, we would give them an upgrade. I only hope they can rise to the occasion. Eh?

I like the term “Trumpster” since it rhymes with “dumpster”.

Seems apropos.

I can certainly understand why America as a whole wants an upgrade but it should learn and do for itself from the example Canada sets and not expect to get Canada to do its upgrading for it. Annexing Canada wouldn't give America the upgrade it needs and it would just cause a lot of problems for both countries.

It's absurd to suggest annexing Canada. I'd like to see the border more open than it is for the two countries (make it easier for those from one to live in the other if they wish). But to suggest an invasion is really low.
