Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose said the “relatively unsophisticated” hacking attempt on Nov. 5, which was Election Day, originated in Panama but was traced to a Russian-owned company.
"The ultimate goal of such attacks is disrupting and undermining the credibility of elections, but LaRose said Ohio’s election results are safe because neither the election machines nor the ballot counters the state uses are connected to the internet."
So an attack from a computer belonging to a Russian owned company hacks into a system that in no way shape or form can do anything to change the election results.
But somehow it means they were trying to hack the election? lol
Did the attack happen on election day or did it not? Do you really think that if they had omitted the reference that Ohioans are so dense that no person reading the story would sit up and say "hey! wasn't that election day?"
Did the attack happen on Ground Hog day or did it not? Do you really think that if they had omitted the reference that Ohioans are so dense that no person reading the story would sit up and say "hey! wasn't that Ground Hog day?"
It had nothing to do with an attempt to change the election so why mention it unless it was to create fake drama?
Trump is the best thing to ever happen to Russia and Putin. The Russians are highly dedicated to Trump's re-election no matter the cost, effort, or method.
Trump is the Russian asset in the White House and the Russians want to keep him there.

Dunno where you get the idea that I thought the hacking was a direct attempt on election results. But oh well.
There's nothing fake about the hack occurring on election day. That is indeed when it occurred.
Again, do you think Ohioans are so dense they wouldn't notice this, regardless of whether the article pointed it out or not?
Do you think that just possibly, maybe, a few wild-eyed Ohioans would leap to the conclusion that their gubmint was lying to them again, and trying to hide the "fact" that a hack occurring on election day was actually an election hack? Extremely elaborate conspiracy theories have been built around a good deal less.
LaRose said the attempted SQL injection attack sought to insert malicious code into his office’s website.
Any public facing site on the internet is going to be subject to this almost constantly. The IP's are almost always going to be Russian, China, Ukraine, Phillipines, India and some other common ones.
Trump supporters want the Russians to interfere in our state and local elections because they know the hacking will be aimed at Democratic candidates. Plain and simple. Whatever happened to the Republican Party that demanded national security and loyalty to our Constitution? They stab us in the back and kiss Putin’s behind.

The Republican party that demanded national security, was loyal to the Constitution, stood for fiscal responsibility, ... is long gone.
At this point, Republicans are little more than a criminal enterprise backed by American corporations and Russian mobsters.
Some of the Trumpists in this thread, I think may have revealed more about their true interests and loyalties than they may have intended.
