https://www.dailywire.com/news/black...ite-capitalism (Black Lives Matter launched its sixth annual ‘Black Xmas’ drive over the extended Thanksgiving weekend, encouraging allies and people of color to “divest from White capitalism” and “invest in Black community.”) SO i guess they are going to give up i-phones and i -pads etc: ??
I think that's a good thing. Black folks spending their dollars in black-owned businesses when they can is no different than what many Italians, Greeks and Jews have always done. They're keeping their money in the family.
The difference is that those other groups don't announce everything that they do in the media like too many Black folks want do. Another difference is that most of the businesses in those other communities are owned by those people. So "buying Asian" will just be automatic in an Asian business enclave area.
Black American business ownership is lower even in Black areas. There are some complicated reasons for this.

Exactly. Blacks have the largest spending power of all the racial minorities but very little of it goes back to black-owned businesses. Of course much of that is due to having their businesses suppressed historically, but there's also a lot of crab-in-the-barrel mentality you don't see with Jews, Asians, etc who generally look to support their own people first.

Read the article. This is not what they are advocating....at all. They are socialists and every bit as anti black capitalism as anti white capitalism. Being pro black business doesn't require "divesting" from white business, so I was suspicious based on the title alone. After reading the article it just confirmed what I have suspected of BLM for a while now: Despite starting as an anti police brutality group, at some point they were hijacked by socialists and their true function is to infiltrate and attempt to capture blacks in the service of their Marxist agenda.
quotes from article:
"Dr. Melina Abdullah, lead organizer of BLM’s L.A. chapter (BLM-LA), recently described Christmastime as a “frenzy of consumerism that’s rooted in white capitalism,” claiming America’s capitalist economic system was designed to oppress black people. BLM established Black Xmas in 2014 to promote more collectivist approaches to economic liberty for communities of color.
On her weekly radio show heard on KPFK 90.7 FM, Abdullah explained that the yearly effort urges people to donate to black-led liberation organizations in the name of loved ones as holiday gifts; move their money from “white corporate” financial institutions to black-owned community banks; and patronize black-owned businesses “that represent our interests and collectively benefit us.”
According to BLM’s Black Xmas website, the seasonal exercise “is not a call to replace White capitalism with Black capitalism, but to engage in ‘cooperative economics’ (the Kwanzaa principle of Ujamaa).”"
Whenever I hear someone claim that capitalism is a racist system, while promoting "collectivist" systems, and ignoring the racism that exists under those systems in other nations (because ANY system run by racists is going to be racist), I know that person is not truly pro black, but is a socialist ideologue seeking to hijack blacks in the service of their broader socialist agenda. They infest black academia and have been influencing failed inner city policy for decades now.
