I'm sure you feel our military service men and women have nothing to be proud of either. After all, they have the best and most powerful guns of all, and when necessary, they use their guns to kill. Thankfully, your opinion is drowned out by the tens of millions of Americans who are proud of our military, our guns, our rights and freedoms that were fought for using guns, etc.

Discouraging women from being responsible for their own safety and having the means to effectively protect themselves against rape, assault and murder is nothing to be proud of.
Just a funny story I'll throw in. A local gun store is advertising gun sales and in their commercial they say customers will get a free background check with every gun purchase. LOL, its the law you have a background check with every gun purchase.

Are they shooting themselves, or being shot by other women? Otherwise they are great idea for women and I'm of the opinion that women should be the biggest proponents of gun ownership.
