“The United Nations Security Council could, in principle, tomorrow decide that climate change is a threat to international peace and security,” he says.
“And then it’s within their competencies to decide ‘and you are doing this, you are doing this, you are doing this, this is how we deal with it’.”

The US knows how to deal with these kinds of invaders: destroy them.
A military force of the United Nations would include units from the United States. There is no special United nations uniform; all members wear the uniform of their own nation and are commanded by their own officers. Even the top commander of a U. N. task force, would be a general officer from one country or another. So what would happen if U. S. troops in a U. N. command, were sent here to take action against polluters? Probably the U. N. would never send troops into action in their own country, but who knows how this would be handled. This idea seems like a good way to bring about the demise of the U. N.
Yet another reason why I'm glad that the United States has a veto as a permanent member of the UN Security Council . . . and an administration that isn't afraid to use it.
