Got any links to support this? Preferably reputable websites with verifiable statistics..... and not far-right, nutjob websites.

For the win.

Because if Pence were president, a man who actually understands how government works and is a lot smarter and more capable than Donald Trump, a LOT more conservative legislation would actually be passed.

e M-U-C-H more effective in advancing the far-right conservative agenda than Trump is.
I have gone back and forth over this and come to the conclusion that You would have been right if we were dealing with the old more moderate sensible form of the democrat party.
The party has now evolved into such a crazy nutso party full of intolerance, hatemongering and anarchy that I think it takes a “Trump” to expose and deal with their craziness. As bad as Trump’s personality and behavior can be, he looks benign compared to the Dems.
And I think as nice, calm and steady as Pence is, he’d just get bulldozed, character assassinated, and scared off by the Dems

Historically the R’s have been wimps and scared off by the Dems, so sadly it took a Trump to expose and stand up to them.

Oh, I think it's true.

Keep in mind that a church is a charity - i.e., a not-for-profit organization.

So putting money in an offering plate counts as a donation to charity. What do those offerings go for? It varies all over the map. See Creflo Dollar for an extreme example of what most people DON'T think of when they think of donating to charity. Still - donations to his church count as donations to charity.

Many churches DO participate in community networks supporting food banks, homeless services, and the like. Churches on the island where I used to live joined together so that every night of the year, there is a church cooking free dinners for everyone who shows up. Both of the island grocery stores provide a lot of the food used to cook the dinner, and a call goes out if they run short. Last I knew, they were feeding about 70 people each night. This is on top of a community food bank that gives food to anyone who wants it. That's what I call charity.

IMO
People that vote democrat Seem to do so because their parents did, and their friends do, not even knowing the people they vote for.
Conservatives tend to get more personal in their choosing who represents them.
Hillery's reputation and hypocrisy, and lies are overwhelmingly corrupt, there is no justification for her ways, and certianly does not belong in any office but maybe a jail cell.
Trump on the other hand, though he is a worldly man, is a successful businessman with children that represent better parenting than others of His wealth range.
I know nothing of Pence, though he may be religious I don't know his business disciplines, and in this economy and culture, a man skilled in business fits the position.
Though Trump shows signs of some religious belief I don't see him a man of faith, certainly not the spiritual leader religious people might hope for, but that can change either way.
I pray for Trump that God would have some influence in his life, but God does not force Him self on any one.

And he's a bully who doesn't back down when he's attacked by a bigger bully.

Trump's Presidency is essentially a three-year episode of Trump being bullied and punching back by speaking truth to power and pulling back the curtain to show the true essence of the bullies on the Left.

I don't care for either. Trump for all his issues at least seems human. Pence comes off like a highly polished creepy robot. I watch him carefully and he's effing weird.

Conservatives would still get their socially conservative, anti-abortion, anti-LGBT, pro-second amendment judges. With that in mind, why do Republicans prefer Trump over him? Is it because of Trump's crass, bullying, strongman authoritarian style? Is it the fact that Trump is perceived as being more electable than Pence? Is it simply the fact that Trump angers liberals more? Is there some other reason?
Because Trump is the duly elected president. If Pence were, same. as in the 45 administrations. the one who wins, wins

Very interesting responses in here. A lot of the ardent Trump supporters do not seem to be big fans of Pence, I was not expecting that. Also very surprised that one of the big knocks against him is that he's too religious.

I do agree...Pence seems like a total weirdo, much moreso than Trump. Trump is just a jerk LOL.
