And according to the sheriff, he claims he'll be screening those he deputizes, which is much better than just ignoring the law. I'm sure he doesn't want the potential liability of having deputized the next mass shooter.

The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.

This however all boils down to two facts that gun control proponents
have not been able to address:

(1) There is a direct relationship between restrictive gun control laws and increased crime. Almost all gun control laws have been statistically proven to be linked to increases in crime.

(2) Criminals by definition do not obey the law. Using a firearm to harm another is already illegal.
Proponents might want to spend more time thinking about the facts, and less time writing about feelings that won't fix the problem.

The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights reserved.

There are 22,000 gun laws already on the books. ALL of them are INFRINGEMENTS and all of them are unconstitutional. Yet corrupt, leftist, activist courts uphold them. That has to change and we need to repeal these laws. There will be civil disobedience in the U.S. over these tyrannical gun laws that only affect the law abiding.

They would have to do it county by county, and I have a feeling many rural communities will find creative ways to skirt the law, or even override it. This sheriff has a bright idea, and if it were to work, it would easily catch on in hundreds of counties across America. Bloomturd is an elitist, and he has no idea how people live in rural communities, and how committed they are to defying know it all elitist city dwellers. It's quite literally in their DNA.
Lol! You’re a funny guy!!

Or it is a sneaky way of registering gun owners.

There will be no designation of whether deputies have their own firearms or use county-provided firearms.

As you know it is not about reducing violence or murder. Democrat politicians and elitists like Bloomberg only want to disarm the law abiding. Yet they have heavily ARMED security details with them 24/7.
