"MIAMI (AP) — A new effort funded by the powerful Koch network wants to reframe discussions about immigration by calling for bipartisan consensus on the issue amid Trump-era divisions.

The initiative “Common Ground” launched an outdoor installation Thursday in a Miami parking lot to share positive personal stories of immigrants who are young entrepreneurs, war heroes and farmers. Visitors are encouraged to open several doors to watch short clips on large vertical screens that hang by the doorway."

I wouldn't call those folks "left". In fact, they are largely responsible for putting the current minority in power.
Oh, there are those on the right who are complicit as well. The big difference is that, while there are people form all persuasions who are against illegal immigration and want to secure our border, there is only one party where you can expect to get things done on the issue. The Democrat Party, and their pandering for the Latino vote and decrying any effort to deport illegal immigrants and build a wall as racist, will never be on board with these actions. Not in today's world, though not too long ago the authorization to build a wall (just not funding for the wall) received large bipartisan support (circa 2004 I think). There are at least some Republican Party members in government who actually support being tough on illegal immigration and on border security. And the leader of our party is serious about it, too, which says a lot.

Of course, small gliders are quieter and could be stealth (have almost no metal).....

BUT, there is no need for any of this since so many planes, trains, autos, trucks, pedestrians, etc. come in every day. Don't expect the Mexicans and Americans (yes, Americans are big time involved in smuggling) to get smarter until they have to. As of now all the old ways still work.

Besides, drugs pay much better and Americans have a never ceasing appetite for getting high or low, so the human traffic is only a tiny part of the economy involved. A good guest worker program and E-Verify would solve 2/3rd of the "unwanted worker" problem...assuming it exists.

But the "Wall Builder" types will never see the light. As with other issues they'd lose their opportunity to complain if things were fixed.

I'd love to see an everyday sensor (like could realistically be deployed) that would see a person with a water-powered jetpack jump a couple 100 feet during a severe rainstorm.

Remember a few years back when a Postal Employee flew his gyrocopter right to the Mall in DC? That's an airspace full of the most sophisticated technology that mankind possesses. They have missiles, anti-aircraft, low level radar and everything else...and this dude flies right in with a motored homebuilt.

That should tell those of you with limited tech skills what the situation will be for the foreseeable future.
Why didn't he use the $100 sawzall that you guys were so pumped about a few weeks ago?

And we can see your other stupid idea laid to rest here as well, no rebar ladder.

0 for 2.

You're retired from contracting anyway, why do you care so much about more illegals getting through? Maybe give the ones you profited off of a chance to come up in life before cutting them off at the knees with cheaper replacements.

You're not just anti American,. You're anti-humanity.
