What is interesting is that the IG found the FBI investigation" justified" , but the Mueller Report found no collusion and didn't charge Carter Page with any illegal activity. Or the POTUS.

Therefore a " justified " investigation was proven to be an investigation that wasn't warranted or needed.

Trumps team is now 0 for 2 on IG reports.

Also, the Mueller report did not exonerate Trump. The report is clear and Mueller was clear on this.

So did Trump get a different report. Why shouldn't Wray accept his own agencies report.

I don’t know what report current Director of the FBI Christopher Wray was reading, but it sure wasn't the one given to me," tweeted Trump, who appointed Wray in 2017 after the president fired James Comey. "With that kind of attitude, he will never be able to fix the FBI, which is badly broken despite having some of the greatest men & women working there!"

Of course, Wray would accept his own agency's report.

The question is, why did Barr lie about it?

In fact, the OPPOSITE IS TRUE:

1. “We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation influenced” officials’ decision to open the investigation, the report said."

4. It confirmed that the F.B.I. opened the inquiry in July 2016 as stolen Democratic emails spilled out and investigators learned that a Trump campaign aide bragged that he had been told that Russia had information that could damage Hillary Clinton.
Investigators DID NOT open the inquiry based on a notorious dossier of opposition research from Christopher Steele, a former British spy whose research was funded by Democrats, Mr. Horowitz found.

No one has said the spying was started with the dossier. It is what they needed to make what they had already been doing, legal beagle.

It started well before July 2016, as Durham pointed out.

Trump-appointed Wray confirms that he agrees with the IG report. He is in line with the countless Trump appointees that have confirmed that the president is a unhinged, ridiculous liar with unfounded conspiracies.

Quote:
The Report concludes that the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation and related investigations of certain individuals were opened in 2016 for an authorized purpose and with adequate factual predication. The Report also details instances in which certain FBI personnel, at times during the 2016-2017 period reviewed by the OIG, did not comply with existing policies, neglected to exercise appropriate diligence, or otherwise failed to meet the standard of conduct that the FBI expects of its employees — and that our country expects of the FBI. We are vested with significant authorities, and it is our obligation as public servants to ensure that these authorities are exercised with objectivity and integrity. Anything less falls short of the FBI’s duty to the American people.

Accordingly, the FBI accepts the Report’s findings and embraces the need for thoughtful, meaningful remedial action. I have ordered more than 40 corrective steps to address the Report’s recommendations. Because our credibility and brand are central to fulfilling our mission, we are also making improvements beyond those recommended by the OIG. And where certain individuals have been referred by the OIG for review of their conduct, the FBI will not hesitate to take appropriate disciplinary action if warranted at the completion of the required procedures for disciplinary review.

US Attorney Durham Disagrees With IG's Russia Report

Quote:
"Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the inspector general that we do not agree with some of the report's conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened,"
Durham knows more than Horowitz. Horowitz was confined to the DOJ actions only. Not the CIA(Brennan) or the DNI(Clapper) were up to.
Horowitz has no power. Durham & Barr do.

The IG Report Is a Huge Blow to the FBI's Credibility. Why Is It Being Treated Like Vindication?

Brennan lied & Comey spied.
