All who have testified are real witnesses. However, if you mean Mulvaney, Pompeo, Bolton, et al. they're scared of Trump. He is forbidding them to testify. But of course, you already know that.
That's the thing. It's clear there are a lot of documents out there that could be used as evidence, either working for or against the President as well as witnesses. Trump might win the battle to keep them hidden but at the cost of losing the war. Really hard to have much sympathy about the entire proceedings being one-sided when even given the opportunity to present the other side the White House has refused to offer contradictory evidence.

I will be glad when the Impeachment trial begins in the Senate. Donald Trump will be subpoenaed? Will he be a no show? Will he be allowed to testify on paper?
