That's really sad.
No the plantations they are talking about were plantations -- large farms, lots of land, beautiful main house and slave quarters.

Here in the Charleston area they are used often for social events , private and public.

I understand the sensitive issue of slavery, etc...but honestly here in Charlesotn SC area I don't ever remember hearing from Blacks who are offended about Boone Hall using the grounds for seasonal events and private events.

Like hiring illegals, paying them pennies, and bragging about how hard they work.

Yea, I’m sure some people see it as a matter of prestige and social status to be able to pay for lawn care services as an example, whether they are legal or illegal.

It is time for conservative social media. These leftists control these social media sites and are now enforcing political correctness. Those social justice warriors promoting all this PC and using the media and social media to do it are modern day book burners. These people are enemies of freedom and they are literally cockroaches infesting democracy. In the United States of America we have 30 to 40 percent of our nation who believe in restricting freedom of speech and expression in order to preserve their own thin skin from offense and re write our history as they see it. It is time to tell these people we don’t give a rats rear end what they think. Black people offended by the south, confederate flags and southern history? So what...I could care less what they think. Honestly the truth is most of them are being TOLD to be offended by white liberals in the ivory tower. That is their issue however and not mine. In fact all these thin skinned people own their easily offended nature, again not my problem they are so easily offended. I hold leftists of all kind in the highest contempt, they are ruining this nation.

Of course the issue of PC is just part of the great divide between leftists and Americans. This nation will soon determine whether or not we will be a socialist one or whether we will remain a free Republican democracy. At this point I seriously don’t believe this will be decided peacefully at the ballot box. Because we no longer are a unified nation we may soon be referring to the conflict of 1861-1865 as our first civil war. It will cost us dearly to rid ourselves of the leftists infestation of our republic.

Is that possible in today’s day and age? I would welcome agenda free social media just as I welcomed agenda free news. Seems however we are no longer capable of that.

Who else is going to clean their toilets, put on their roofs and watch their brats cheaply, so they can spend more on their own personal consumption?!

Hence, to me, understanding human nature, people would have aspired to own slaves in the south because that was a sign of status and wealth. If one lived in a society of herders then one would aspire to owning herd. In an economy based upon slave labor, one would aspire to own slaves as they were seen as animals just like herd.
There goes that imagination again.

You should have left it after your first line. It's the only thing you've posted that's genuinely truthful.

Many whites were troubled by a human being thinking they could own another human being - but I don't expect you to know that, which is why you should just **** about what whites felt or what they wanted.

Kind of like you tell white people to do when it comes to what black folks think and feel - a sentiment I wholly agree with.

Yep, just like earlier immigrant groups. For example the Irish working as domestics. This is something that has been apart of the fabric of wealthier countries. This is how the capitalist system functions, as the second and third generations start to gain more education and higher skills they will start to make up the ranks of higher skilled professions.
