Thunberg is speaking for most of the world. She is not affected by the small number of people that continue to cling to big coal and oil for their personal benefit. She is not willing to bow to the radical right people that follow corrupt leaders like Trump, Netanyahu, and Bolsonaro. These are the same crazed leaders that continue their conspiracy theory lies and rants.
I know the won't or don't. I can't help what the Obamas do. Wish people would try to do more.
It isn't even about denying climate change being man made mad or not, or that it is happening or not. It isn't about me being a Republican or not. Most of us realize that true measurements to safeguard the environment isn't a bad thing and neither is exploring alternative fuel sources.
The problem that I and many see is toward " the left" on how they want to approach the issue and USE the issue to advance a socialist agenda. Everything they propose is transfer of control from people to government, taxes, social engineering, transfer of wealth, redistribution of people, while the leftist elite most often exempt themselves from said hardship or reduced level of lifestyle.
There is a way to promote regards for the environment without punishing people, but that wouldn't suit the agenda of leftists who actually want to use the debate of climate change for other leftist agendas which often looks like classic socialism, diminish the rich, elevate the poor slightly (but still being poor), so that most are all marginalized in stagnant living conditions with centralized government power at the helm.

She managed to bash capitalism, white people, and men all in one sentence, which wraps the leftist socialist agenda into almost all in one, which the climate change debate used as the excuse for it all.
How far would they be willing to go to enforce it in the name of saving the planet? "papers please" before they allow you to travel? Banning people from living somewhere or forcing some to move somewhere? Massive fees on fuel use which potentially life threatening in winter and summer?
Hasn't even crossed my radar. All I see is an ugly child from Socialist Sweden whom I don't care to be lectured by.
