What happened on this date?
1.) Crossfire-Hurricane was shutdown on thier attempt to get FISA's on both Papadopolous and Page. They are told they need better evidence to spy in either.
2.) Comey told for the first time about Downer, and his made up nonsense on Papadopolous.
3.) Peter Strzok text Lisa Page - "I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office" - that there's no way he gets elected - but I'm afraid we can't take that risk. It is like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40....
They meet in McCabe's office to discuss an INSURANCE Policy. A policy to get FISA warrants they couldn't get because they did not have enough probable cause... They then brief Comey about Alexander Downer and the so called Russian dirt meeting.
The insurance policy was the Downer angle. They devised to come at Trump on many angles, in case one fails. So, in the wiretap on Papadopolous revealed, The Russians were not willing to help him. He said they were willing to help us. Remember "us". They had nithing on Poppy to go after a FISA on him.
The FBI took that "us" as the most receptive person in the Trump campaign for Russian contacts was Carter Page. They just assume that Carter Page is the go to guy, because he was a CIA operative, that had previously spoke with Russians, to help the CIA.
To get this FISA on Page they had to lie and say he was NOT a US intel operative, working with the CIA in the past.
Can you believe, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page and the Media think they are vilified????
Page is suing the DOJ....
Well, there it is
"the INSURANCE Policy". Knowingly lie. Knowingly alter documents, and knowingly go after an innocent man ruining him and costing him a fortune. Only for the ability to nefariously spy on everything Trump.
Strzok, on August 15th, the same day.... Sent an e-mail to the Office of General Council, leaving out that Page was a CIA friendly, and there should be sufficient evidence to get what they needed.
