"Freedom of speech" is the most misunderstood Amendment in the country. People endlessly reference it to argue that you can't lose your job or be criticized for speaking your mind. All freedom of speech means is that the government can't punish you for talking or writing. It doesn't mean you can't face consequences or be criticized by anyone else, yet 99% of the time it is referenced, it is for those reasons.

This is all true, and whenever private entities show how they punish people who speak out of turn it becomes even more obvious why we cannot allow the government to have the same ability. Tyranny is built in to our DNA it sometimes seems.

They have the right to try, but other people have the right to decline and bosses should have the right to fire. Lol

What happens if you're smart enough to understand that you aren't bound to any contracts that you haven't consented to?

It means the federal government cannot shut you up. It says nothing about your momma, spouse, boss. or school principal.

That's what happens when schools stop teaching Civics and Government. Mess with your local public school district and they can remind you that you are on private property that is owned by the taxpayers of that district.

There are those who want all the privileges and protections but none of the duties of being a citizen.

When are you moving and where to?
