Oh, I know charitable giving for such things is far beyond the comprehension for some people. In this case, they have the desire to kill, not just kill, but kill a rare animal so they can get their psychotic kick in.
Charitable giving is fine, but capitalism is even better. They had something of value, a rare trophy, they traded for more money than they'd have made in their lives otherwise. That EARNED money is considerably better than money that is merely given.
Not only do they benefit, but the rare animal benefits because a market for them ensures their survival.
You can think whatever you want about trophy hunters, but they are almost always a VERY good thing for poor 3rd world villages and the animals they hunt.
Why on earth would anyone car about this? Non-news.
Why would anyone care that a global elitist killed an animal that is on the "nearly endangered species" list, illegally, then used his connections to retroactively be given a license to do so?
