The UK conservatives have fooled half the population of Britain into believing that they’ll be in a stronger position. Cooler heads in Britain know better. The United Kingdom is a shell of what they once were, and the Tories are seemingly the only people that don’t know it.
I can’t wait to see all the new trade deals they’ll negotiate on their own.
It's funny and amusing to see all the losers come here, the ones who predicted doom & disaster for years if it happened, now, when it didn't happen, stamp their feet and cry out. "Just you wait and see". hahahaha.
The whole point of being an EU member is to mitigate your vulnerabilities. The EU wouldn’t exist otherwise. That’s every member nation’s ultimate goal. There’s no other reason to join.
So without the membership, your vulnerability is enhanced, not attenuated. Your weaknesses are now well known and exposed. The EU would be stupid not to now take as much advantage as they can of your vulnerable position. If the EU didn’t do that, they wouldn’t be serving their constituents properly. They should do everything they can to exploit the hell out of Britain. I would. Either get under my umbrella, or get soaked.
Where else can they turn to? They are a European nation, and their future remains with their fellow Europeans. Their future is certainly not with us. They are not North or South Americans, they have no place in our national interests for any favored nation status in trade with us, and they shouldn’t be seen as a nation on par with Mexico and Canada when doing trade deals.
They have made their bed, and they should lie in it. If Brexit is successful for them, then Bravo. If it ends up being deleterious to them, oh well. I feel nothing, and the United States certainly shouldn’t pitch in to help.

Are you serious. The 5th most militarily powerful country on the planet, the 3rd most important reserve currency, the center of the 54 nation Commonwealth, permanent member of the UN Security council.

Apart from the crash of the GBP, the £130 billion hit to the UK economy, the fact that the UK has spent more on Brexit since 2016 than the total of 47 years of EU contributions, the slowing of GDP growth by 3% (with a further forecast of 2-8% depending on the leave scenario), the decrease in foreign investment into the UK by 92% between 2016 and 2019.
That has all happened. We won't see the full effects until 1st January 2021.
You aren't even British, so that must be why you just gloat and say "I won, get over it". People will suffer economically from Brexit.

The UK is a country in Western Europe. British people are European.
The UK is an island off the coast of Northwestern Europe. It's not IN Western Europe. Nobody but advocates of the "Remain" campaign have ever called themselves "Europeans". The British are not Europeans.
