1. The Democrats offered witnesses who knew a guy who heard it from another guy who heard it from another guy or they offered witnesses who knew nothing at all but had opinions and assumed or presumed. If you only saw and heard clips, you would never know that. I would guess at a real trial, entire testimony from many of them would be thrown out as hearsay.
I'm retired like you and I watched the impeachment hearings perhaps with greater interest in putting together the facts. I kept asking myself but what about that? Another witness came forward and answer the question. By the time that they were done, it became clear that an ambassador was removed to clear the way for Trump and Giuliani their dirty work. If you listened to Shiff and Nadler, they did a very good job of summing up the wrong doings. By asking a foreign government to provide dirt on Biden, Trump broke the law. By telling his staff not to cooperate with House subpoenas, Trump broke the law.

How much evidence does it take for you to see that this indictment has enough facts to go forward?

And, if I may....number 6: The Democrats would not allow Republicans to present witnesses that could defend the president. Can you imagine being accused of a crime, and having the DA question your accusers with all sorts of leading questions to "get ya" in addition to giving lead-in statements of five minutes claiming unproven facts before he gets around to a question - and then forbidding your counsel to call up witnesses in your defense to rebut the DA's case?

The whole thing is a sham, and I am actually hoping for an impeachment vote. That way, it can make its way to the Senate, where the Republicans can then provide the other side to the Democrats' witch-hunt of a hearing.
I'm beginning to form a negative opinion of your general knowledge. This is an impeachment which is an indictment. When indictments are done only the DA is there presenting the facts to a grand jury. The grand jury decides if there is enough evidence for an arrest and a trial.

Here is a link in support of my claim: https://criminal-law.freeadvice.com/...indictment.htm

An impeachment is an indictment of a President. All of this talk of the President being entitled to legal representation at this indictment is nonsense. The Republicans sure enough blew their smoke in your eyes.

The fundamental difference here is that this is being done for the cameras to sway public opinion now, before the trial stage even begins or before the indictment is even brought.

I was having strong thoughts about voting D across the board, but now I’m most likely scratching those plans. I’m sure Pelosi right now is screaming in her head, “I TOLD YOU MORONS GOING FOR IMPEACHMENT WOULD HURT US.” Imagine if they call Hunter Biden to testify. Biden will be done. He told Ukraine they won’t get money until they fire the Ukraine official who was investigating the company who ended up hiring his son who doesn’t speak the language, didn’t move there, didn’t have any experience in that field, yet made millions. Trump is an ego maniac, but this clown show has lost all my respect for Democrats.
So let me get this straight.
You are more concerned at how the Dems are conducting themselves during a Impeachment process than how Trump has conducted himself as President?
I seriously doubt you ever had any intention of voting for the Dems to begin with if this is a reason to sway your "opinion".

I think the Democrats are making a mistake with this whole impeachment deal. I'm not too thrilled about the way they have run the process either.

That said, there is nothing in the world that could make me cast a vote for Donald Trump.

That is correct; I've made this point myself. Impeachment in the House is the equivalent of a Grand Jury indictment. A suspect has no rights regarding defending himself or calling witnesses in a Grand Jury proceeding. That is for the Jury Trial, which will be in the Senate

Several of the Leftist House members have already gone on record that they will continue their goal of Impeachment if this Kangaroo Court fails. ANY vote for a Democrat going forward means a continued attempt.

They have now put it all on the linen.... take down the USA.

I care about the impeachment only to the extent that Trump is getting what’s coming to him. Even if he is re-elected it’s a stain on his legacy. And that’s what matters most to him. He has recruited millions of people whom he personally detests, but accepts for the purpose of gaining power. He abused that power, and he is being impeached. Whatever. I don’t care if he is or isn’t. I’d rather vote for my cat than him.
Actually impeachment is made into a badge of courage !!!
The stain is on congress and they will have a very hard time being respected or have the confidence of the people restored in them !!!
Going forward any republican that becomes President and isn't impeached won't be doing the job he was elected to do !!! Trump is doing the job he was elected to do and being impeached for being successful !!! That is the new standard !!! Any President not being impeached will be a failure !!!
