Trump u closed for graft, Trump's charitable foundation closed and successfully sued for graft and corruption, his personal attorney is in jail for doing something illegal at the direction if Individual 1, and Trump should be immune because he's the president and can shoot someone and get away with it? I don't think so.

Nixon was under suspicion of tax fraud. He had 4 SCOTUS appointees and they ruled against him.

Forbes has an interesting article : Trump & Kids Named, But Not Charged, In $250 Million Tax Evasion Case.

Jump in your way back machine and Russian connected mobster Felix Sater raises his ugly head again. Trump has done some shady deals with him in the past. Soho and Bayrock ring a bell? Bayrock also financed Trump International in Fort Lauderdale and Trump Camelback in Phoenix. "This domestic holding partnership was according to the complaint, an easy way to launder money and evade taxes."

To deny Congress the proper oversight into a criminal enterprise concerning Trump's taxes would forever taint the SCOTUS as a partisan arm and would discredit and disgrace it for decades to come. Precedence has been set with Nixon that no president is above Congressional oversight, and reviewing taxes is part of that oversight.

Snowflake crybaby Trump with his crocodile tears and everybody is against me mentality may work on low information people who only want to see what they want to see, but for those of us who see the blatant criminality? Lets not forget it runs in the family starting with his KKK connected father Fred and his crooked judge sister who had to step down to avoid an investigation into tax fraud. It's not just Liberals "crying for justice." it's everyone in this country who puts country first in front of crooked graft and believes no one is above the law, including the president. No one has to fish for dirt. Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.

The courts in California over turned this over reach some time back.
However, a 1924 law allows Congress to request the tax records of anybody, and the treasury secretary is required to comply.

Per the Revenue Act of 1924, Congress can view anybody's taxes. This is established law. Call it a fishing expedition if you want, but it's legal.

Analogous to what the Supreme Court held in the Nixon case, this is NOT evidence that is "demonstrably relevant in a criminal trial."

Please show where under the Constitution that Congress has such authority. Again, it would be one thing if a special prosecutor (a member of the executive branch) was looking into these things as was the case in US v. Nixon, but that is not what we are dealing with here. Congress does not further its constitutional duty by seeking to compel the production of the president's private tax returns, whether for impeachment or other reasons.
Two of the three cases are legislative. The Constitution assigns all legislative duties to Congress, including investigative activities related to legislature. SCOTUS has historically supported this interpretation, virtually since the Constitution was enacted.

Just a reminder: President Trump could end all of this drama and just release all his tax return information at any time. You know, the way every other President before him over the last 30 years has done.

Trump said he was going to be "the most transparent" president in history, yet he is literally taking his fight to the highest court in theland, the Supreme Court, after MULTIPLE lower federal courts have decided that Donald Trump should have to release his tax returns.

Sad that no Trump supporters will acknowledge that, they just scroll right past it. Because they want to avoid it....because they can't defend Trump on this.

In other words, it's not just about this President.
Protecting separation of the three parts of government.
If congress can subpoena records of POTUS, nothing’s in the way of the doing the same to SCOTUS.
Separation of powers is critical. SCOTUS knows this. The Leftists in Congress have been saying for over a year that they will Impeach Justice Kavanaugh next.

Pelosi claims Congress is a 'superior branch' of government, as clash with White House intensifies.

Congress must show a Legislative reason for demanding Tax Records. There is no Legislative purpose here and they will be done on by they constant calls for Impeachment from the day Donald Teump was elected.

For those that don’t know ... there is a Law that the President of the United States must be Audited every year he is in office and those Audits are held in the National Archives.

Nancy Pelosi, Schiff and the Leftist Leadership know exactly what is in the Trump Family Tax returns, somebody like a Lois Lerner at the IRS surely got them copies. Mueller certainly had the authority to look at them.
It clearly a fishing expedition to find something they think will embarrass Trump for the 2020 Election.
Whatever is in those returns is absolutely Legal. - OR it would have been announced in a Lawsuit from the IRS.

SCOTUS Decision is likely to be no worse than 7-2 in favor of the President and should be 9-0.
What the Pelosi/Schiff/Nadler Impeachment is attempting is called A Bill of Attainder and is is absolutely Un-Constitutional. The Framers specifically renounced it.

Make a law requiring him to, otherwise it's his right not to disclose them, especially when we all know that the harassment will never end there.
I still for the life of me can't understand why people want him to release them so bad. As far as I'm concerned, if the IRS hasn't launched a criminal investigation into them--then what's the problem?

Please see Nixon v. Fitzgerald:

"Opinion. In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the President is entitled to absolute immunity from liability for civil damages based on his official acts. The court emphasized that the President is not immune from criminal charges stemming from his official (or unofficial) acts while in office.
