With Greta and the other young activists awake to the perils of climate change, there is hope. They are on the right side of science. I am optimistic once the fate of the planet is in their hands.
Science always wins. Ignorant anti-science climate denier Boomers are like the Catholic inquisitors who put Galileo under arrest. How dare he say the Earth revolves around the Sun? Heresy! But in the end Galileo and his findings eventually won out. So it will be with climate science.

Who is scared? Seems that the snowflakes are those that can't accept reasonable and relevant criticism of one of their stars.
Let's stop pretending that she shouldn't be criticised because she is 16. She is simply a tool of others to deliver a message. They thought it would be more effective delivered by a 16 year old girl.
Problem is people resort to personal attacks against her. Rather than addressing what she speaks about, they attack her as a person.
Pretty much showing that when threaten by a child, adults become the children...

Just as it is the case in any discussion.
The problem is, she has been put on a pedestal for just protesting, and stating very simple opinions, because her backers believe that because she's a child no one will disagree with her. She will be a hero because she's a teen and speaking out.
She really has said nothing at all, or done nothing at all, that's remarkable. Sitting and holding a sign. Saying what her backers are saying.
She's just been picked up and used as a spokesperson because of her youth.
And privilege, frankly. A 15 year old without any privilege can't afford to miss schooling the way she has.
: in a very bad position or situation
The team was up against a wall in the first half of the game.
In context, it would be reasonable to say it means leaders are going to be held accountable for their decisions and actions and it may not be good for their political careers.
Also, While we're at it: Definition of hyperbole : extravagant exaggeration (such as "mile-high ice-cream cones")
Greta and others like to use exaggeration on serious climate change really is.
She's a mean spirited hateful little child but good tool for those seeking to take our freedoms and fortunes from us. Greta shmeta.
