I have noticed it for a long time. Drive past any church on Sunday, and 80% of the people you see in the parking lot will be on Medicare. I suspect in the next decade or two we will see a lot of churches close down and be converted to other uses.

I think a lot of it is also the busy lifestyles people have to live today. People today work long hours, and many times people work on the weekends, and often one spouse has a different schedule than the other. Many people just don't have time to sit in church on Sunday, they want some relaxing time.

You know this by just driving by and looking at them? Seriously?

Maybe, and the best pastors are on tv anyway, so if people need to hear a sermon, they can watch one (or many) on tv. My favorite one is in San Diego California, and he is on every day on the radio, and on tv on Sundays. Our local church has not experienced any decline.

I always find it funny how people who hate Christians say it's because Christians are hateful.

"I hate those hate filled people."

Lol

I think the anti-Christianity crowd has a fait amount of self-loathing mixed with jealousy.

I envy people who are super-religious. Religion is the opium of the masses, and I'd sure like to get an opium shot every day, but it's too late for that, I'm in deep with Tantric Buddhism. Buddhism is not a religion, it's a philosophy.

I'm not sure but I think there's another god they praise. Government I presume?

Your paranoia doesn't mean anybody is trying to force Christianity on you.

"Oh nose, I saw a cross. Why are they doing this to me!!!!"

Christianity continues rapid decline in the US

No doubt about that.

Do you realize that you could replace the word "fundamentalists" with "gays" throughout this post and also make a valid point?

Live and let live. We don't have to agree but we do have to share this beautiful country and we all have a right to be here and believe what we wish.

Knowing Christ is a whole other dimension of insight. It is spiritual insight . We are spiritual beings and many don't know that.
