The Earth is doomed. Twelve years left. Or maybe now it is eleven, if the hysterical rhetoric previously promoted by the control freak left on this subject is to be taken seriously.

So the national negotiators at the UN Climate Talks (Paris Climate Accords, Chapter 2) have decided they will not agree to implement a worldwide carbon market at this time, "as polluter countries did not want to increase efforts to decrease greenhouse gases".

Climate negotiators postpone decision on carbon markets

The negotiators at the United Nations climate talks decided to postpone the decision on international carbon markets at the end of the two-week negotiations, The Associated Press reported Sunday.

The talks ended Sunday, two days later than planned, with a general call to combat climate change, as polluter countries did not want to increase efforts to decrease greenhouse gases, the AP reported. The approved measure called for an “urgent need” to reduce greenhouse gases in line with the 2015 Paris accord goals and did not require countries to have more ambitious plans to do so next year.

The delegates from nearly 200 countries did decide to implement steps to assist poor countries in their attempts to adjust to climate change, according to the AP.
Someone help me out here. If these people's claims that the future of the planet and continued human life in anything approximating our current civilization is on the line and imminently at risk, how is it that they have decided that they do not "want to increase efforts to decrease greenhouse gases"?

But as you can see from the article above, they did decide to go ahead with the financial redistribution portion of their agenda.

Apparently this problem is not nearly as serious or imminent as these people, along with the schools, the universities and the media, have been shrilly insisting that it is.

Good to know. If they are blowing it off, then so am I.

Only because they aren’t getting money from the US.

And that is what the true objective was here, wasn't it?

In plain English...neither side is going to pay....they are getting pennies on the dollar for what their commitment was...and most countries pledge...and then never pay
...China and the rest of the developing world have absolutely no intention of reducing their emissions...and have every intention of increasing it

from the AP article > " after major polluters resisted calls for ramping up efforts to keep global warming at bay "

Not saying it's China and the developing countries that are increasing emissions....makes it really look like a scam

why can't they just say it? > after China and the rest of the major polluters resisted

The article indicates the polluter countries did not want to increase their efforts, unfortunately a few countries are responsible for a rather large segment of the emissions. That would include us, we are backing out of the agreement by years end but we are still part of the accord. Australia, Brazil, Canada and other major sources still don't take this seriously.

And they wonder why Greta is angry.

If she's an anti-carbon warrior, then maybe she should go and clean all the plastic out of the Pacific.

After she's finished with that, I have more on the list.
