“Nearly all 216 miles built since Trump took office replaced outdated or dilapidated fencing. Only about “three miles of new border wall system [have been] constructed in locations where no barriers previously existed,” according to Homeland Security’s June 19 status report on the wall.

Trump repeatedly pledged during and after his 2016 campaign that he’d make Mexico pay for “a big beautiful wall” on the entire 1,954-mile border. So far, the Trump administration has spent $15 billion on the project. Mexico has not contributed anything.”

And we still have many illegals working in the USA. All they can say is first we have to have a wall.

Too bad ICE and the Border Patrol can't walk and chew gum.

Every couple months they raid an employer and levy a fine.

One of the primary issues is lack of cooperation between Ice and law enforcement in "sanctuary cities!"

It is scary, the guy is not right in the head. Who has ever lied so much to the public? Pretty bad we have a president we can’t believe in. Only the dumbest of the dumb can follow this creep.

It's pretty pathetic that we've made so little progress, but it makes perfect sense. Both parties have been making nice speeches about stopping illegal immigration, but they've just let it continue. Put up enough token effort to make it look like they were trying. Trump was an unexpected thing for both parties, forcing them to put up or shut up. The Democrats dropped all pretense of caring about the problem, taking the rather ridiculous position that illegal immigration is perfectly fine and stopping them is racist or something. The Republicans have continued the usual passive resistance they've been doing for decades. Most of the GOP has no intention of stopping illegal immigration because they are in some way benefiting. The Democrats want the voters. Neither has the best interests of the American people in mind.

Should be interesting what this election does to the issue. If the GOP dominates, expect to see a lot of pressure on them to fund and build the wall. If the Democrats win, then we're about to find out the hard way why you don't just throw your borders open and tell everyone who wants to, "Welcome!! Come on in!!"

And after all this screaming and caterwauling by the leftist fanatics....

....President Trump will be re-elected on Nov. 3, 2020 anyway. By a large margin.

Makes you feel kind of futile and useless, doesn't it, libbies?

Just as you turned out to be four years ago.

Just gets tiring of hearing one thing today and another tomorrow with no consistency.

This country is lacking leadership. Obama is sooooo missed.

Wrong! Mexico is contributing via the renegotiated NAFTA. There is no plan to build a wall along the entire border. Where have you been? The plan is to replace the inferior fencing with good physical barriers (700 miles) and an additional 300 miles.

Who cares who pays for it anyway since it is well needed? Did you forget that the taxpayer funded the inferior fencing that now has to be replaced? Did you cry about that back then?

Now here's the truth!

There is no just talk about building the wall. It is being done as we speak in spite of the Democrats fighting him all the way.
