That's a guaranteed Orange Crush landslide victory for the Trumpster.
Then, they'd have to push Hillary out in a wheelchair, for the 'ole Screech Owl to try again. That means Bernie's band of Socialists stay home on election day, and they are ~25% of the Dems votes. So now, here we are stuck in the middle of Nancy's imperfect impeachment, and she has no play. It's 4th down and 37 yards to go. She's burning her time outs, and she's twitching uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, Trump keeps naming Conservative Judges, holding packed Rally's, and governing. The economy is strong, and his polling #'s stable. The longer the imperfect impeachment drags on, the better Trumps approval numbers get

Yeah, her reasoning for holding the articles of impeachment is not a good strategy. From the outside looking in, it appears they are holding on to them out of rage, out of the fact they don't really think they made the best choice to impeach, or they don't understand the process.
Pelosi thinks it will "damage" Trump more and allow the Democrats to keep adding charges and spin the investigative wheels throughout 2020.

Some people are urging Pelosi to have the impeachment vote in the House but to not send the articles to the Senate if McConnell refuses to hold a trial with witnesses. Trump would remain impeached forever and never exonerated by the Senate. He could never crow about being found not guilty.
I think she should do it. McConnell does not want a fair trial presumably because he knows Bolton will sink Trump. If Trump is not guilty he should welcome an open fair trail not a whitewash.
Keep in mind that in an actual trial the defense can also call and question witnesses and in the Senate the chair isn’t held by a Democrat who will try to prevent Republicans from asking questions of the witnesses that the Democrats don’t want asked nor answered.
So then trump just needs to take the stand and not perjurer himself and he should be all set.

The US Supreme Court sided with Trump on this. You are simply displaying partisan bias.
Regardless of whether you think it is appropriate or not, anyone who knows anything about Chief Justice Roberts knows he wouldn't preside over a trial without House participation.
